Vanessa Moazezi is an attorney and business consultant working exclusively in the cannabis and hemp space. An L.A. native in the truest sense, she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from UCLA, and her law degree from Pepperdine.
Vanessa has represented the cities of San Diego and San Bernardino in complex civil litigation matters, and served as defense counsel to several Fortune 500 companies including, Starbucks, UnitedHealth Group, Home Depot, Kaiser Permanente, Kohl’s, and J.C. Penney, for employment related issues and risk assessment.
However, her role as an investor in various cannabis ventures has played the most profound role in shaping her career to date. Vanessa has first hand industry knowledge having been exposed to all facets of the supply chain, from seed to retail sale. What started off as a side business venture morphed into a deep desire to spread the plant medicine along with changing the public’s perception and accessibility to it.
Not one to sit on the sidelines, Vanessa felt compelled to leave her corporate job and make her mark on the end of the prohibition in what she considers the most promising and constructive industry of our time.
To Vanessa, the path to legalization is a matter of our health and wellness, our environment, our autonomy, and our right to privacy— and it’s not hurting anyone. That is, of course, no one except the pharmaceutical, rubber, plastic, cotton, paper, alcohol, oil, coal, and private prison industries.
In addition to her legal practice and advocacy work, Vanessa remains true to her entrepreneurial spirit by working on other passion projects. She has co-founded a highly esteemed martial arts academy with her husband, The Way of No Way, where she also trains consistently.
